This cover can be fitted to virtually any concrete, wooden or steel silo available in the market. The Flexxocover is available in three versions, which are the Flexxocover Standard (with welded straps), the Flexxocover Active Maintenance (separate strap construction for frequent opening and closing) and the Flexxocover Tensioned over the central column (a version where the roof is tensioned by extending the central column). In gas-tight version, several executions are also available, depending on your application, namely the Flexxocover Gastight and the Flexxocover with LongSilo roof with Lung. Flexxocover standard silo cover

The gas-open Flexxocover described above is the standard silo cover. Do you have special wishes or requirements? We can realise all the options available in the market!

The Flexxocover with loose straps is partially open here, so that maintenance can easily and regularly be carried out in a relatively short period of time on the cover, which has been developed in such a way that it takes less than one hour to open and close it.

Flexxocover active maintenance.

The Flexxocover Active Maintenance has been specially developed for customers who want to be able to perform multiple maintenance on the silo or the cover. The cover is designed so that it takes less than one hour to open and close.

For steel or stainless steel silos, tensioning is often used by extending the centre column. This ensures a tight assembly.

  • Available in diameters from ø2 to ø55 meters.
  • Delivery always includes centre column, tensioning system and inspection opening.
  • Standard foil: polyester fabric with 2-sided PVC; 4,000 N/5 cm (900 g/m²). Stronger foils possible if desired or needed.
  • In gastight execution, standard operating pressures from -0.5 to +3.5 mbar. Higher pressures possible on request.
  • Centre columns minimum FSC tropical hardwood type D60. Stainless steel columns possible on request (both stainless steel 304 and stainless steel 316).
  • The designs of our covers are approved in all European countries.
  • The entire construction is designed to be used in all snow and wind zones in Europe, even at larger diameters.
  • In specific cases we can also deliver a Flexxocover without a central column. This cover is equipped with a self-supporting structure.
  • If the cover has to be opened regularly for cleaning or maintenance purposes, we can also deliver a version with a separate strap construction, which makes it possible to open and close the cover within one hour.
  • The gastight cover can be executed with a gas seal on the inside or on top of the silo wall. If mounted on top of the wall, it is still possible to open the silo during stops when the system is in operation.
  • For steel or stainless silo's, tensioning is often carried out by extending the centre column. This ensures an even and uniform tensioned roof.
